About The Position
The C-Store Cashier is the face of the store, providing exceptional customer service and helping ensure each guest has a positive shopping experience. The role requires a friendly, dependable, customer-focused team member who communicates effectively, stays composed under pressure, and can multitask in a fast-paced environment. Cashiers perform customer service, retail sales, and point-of-sale transactions, and must be available for flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. The work environment is usually moderately noisy.
Requirements
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks at once.
- Dedication to integrity, teamwork, and customer service.
- Ability to maintain composure during periods of uncertainty.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
- Provide jurisdiction-required work cards before the start date.
- Valid Health Card.
- Valid Alcohol Awareness Card.
- Ability to read and interpret English-language documents and communicate verbally in English; written English communication may also be required.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
- Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance.

- Previous point-of-sale experience.
- Previous retail sales, gas station attendant, or customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and greet all customers.
- Keep the store clean, neat, organized, and inviting.
- Complete accurate point-of-sale customer transactions.
- Stock and clean the store.
- Maintain the cleanliness and management of gas pumps and the exterior appearance of the store.
- Support team members and promote a positive team environment.
Benefits
- $500 sign-on bonus for new employees, paid in installments: $225 after 30 days, $175 after 60 days, and $100 after 90 days of employment.
