About The Position
This role involves independently developing detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for various Thrislington partition series. The Drafter will generate new order layouts based on architectural plans and specifications, execute revisions with minimal supervision, and interpret engineering drawings to produce precise partition layouts. A key aspect of the role is ensuring all drawings adhere to Thrislington drafting standards, including applying appropriate tolerances, clearances, ADA requirements, and manufacturability standards. The position also requires preparing and releasing various production-ready documentation sets, evaluating revision requests for feasibility, and communicating potential impacts to Customer Service. The Drafter will manage layout adjustments, prevent material waste, and collaborate with internal teams and external distributors to resolve technical questions and concerns.

Responsibilities
- Independently develop detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings across all Thrislington partition series, including Ribbon, Flow, and Oasis HPL.
- Generate new order layouts based on architectural plans, distributor specifications, and internal order documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and manufacturability.
- Execute both standard and complex revisions involving dimensional adjustments and layout modifications with minimal supervision.
- Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to produce precise partition layouts, proactively identifying dimensional conflicts and resolving standard design challenges before release.
- Apply appropriate tolerances, clearances, ADA requirements, and manufacturability standards while ensuring all drawings adhere to Thrislington drafting standards and formatting guidelines.
- Prepare and release complete, production-ready, and post production documentation, including Approval Sets, Manufacturing Sets, Cut Sheets, Drawing Issue Sheets, As-Built Sets, RTGs (Ready-to-Go packages), Additionals, and Remedials.
- Evaluate revision requests for design feasibility, dimensional impact, and manufacturing implications.
- Communicate potential cost, material, or lead-time impacts on Customer Service to support informed decision-making.
- Manage layout adjustments involving structural limitations, ADA compliance, and product-specific constraints.
- Prevent unnecessary material waste and production disruption by verifying layout modifications before release.
- Participate in email and phone discussions with distributors to clarify layouts, address technical questions, and resolve drawing-related concerns.
- Provide clear technical explanations regarding product capabilities, design limitations, and configuration requirements.
- Support escalated drawing inquiries with professional, solution-oriented responses.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, QA, and Customer Service to ensure drawings align with manufacturing capabilities and operational workflows.
