The incumbent in this position is responsible for receiving and processing GPS electronic monitoring referrals for adjudicated and pre-trial youth active with the Division of Youth Rehabilitative Services. Daily tasks include but are not limited to: installation/removal/maintenance of electronic monitoring equipment, monitoring youth movement, data entry, record keeping, inventory processing, and troubleshooting electronic monitoring issues for Division staff. The incumbent may also perform other duties to assist Division of Youth Rehabilitative staff and management as needed. Schedules appointments for clients and transports to required location (hospital, court, therapy session) provides coaching and assists client; provides support and encouragement to obtain desired outcome. Provides office and telephone coverage in absence of case manager and refers problem to appropriate party. Visits clients in a variety of environments such as home, school, observing behavior, and reporting to Case Manager. Prepares and maintains a variety of records and forms required by case manager to provide the necessary services to the client. Monitors behavior of child and parents on parental visits and insures safe interaction. May interview and obtain basic information from clients such as dates of birth or social security numbers of family members.
