About The Position

C&S Designer I is responsible for developing initial layouts, overseeing revisions of existing computer-aided design (CAD) files, and creating/manipulating drawings from conceptual markups or verbal instructions to the Company’s or Client’s requirements. The role involves efficiently creating and modifying drawings and 3D models based on designer or engineering markups, ensuring strict adherence to company and client standards. The designer will prepare all drawings and standards in full accordance with company and client requirements, coordinate designs effectively with other disciplines, and operate with minimal supervision while providing guidance to junior drafting personnel. A key aspect of the role is to rigorously review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company design standards, and to develop and implement new company design standards to enhance overall efficiency. The designer must guarantee the quality of all work and meet required schedules for assigned tasks and projects, support document control, and organize drawing files. Active participation in drawing reviews and coordination meetings is expected, along with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and software, and strict adherence to all corporate safety protocols. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

Solid understanding of civil and structural engineering concepts.
Proficiency with CAD and other software packages in standalone configuration as well as network setups (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, CadWorx Structure, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Google Earth).
Ability to recognize design issues/conflicts and communicate to supervisor or more senior staff.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to organize and prioritize project workload.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Team player – able to communicate and relate well with others.
