About The Position

The internship will be on the C++ Core Services team, which is part of the cornerstone of the trading system. This team builds core services and libraries to support the next generation of trading platforms across many fixed income asset classes. Interns will build container-based microservices for Tradeweb’s core infrastructure, optimize matching algorithms, or help overhaul trading applications by leveraging principles from distributed systems, high-performance computing, and multithreading. This is high performance and mission critical work.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or related field.
• Passion for C++ development.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and modern C++ techniques.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Interested in learning real life financial market and technology.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, own issues and solve them to completion.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Python, Typescript and/or Bash scripting is a plus.
