About The Position

We are seeking a C# Developer with Capital Markets Experience for a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY. The role involves building and extending applications with a focus on throughput and scalability, containerizing applications in a Kubernetes environment, and ensuring multithreading and thread safety in C#. This position requires formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience. The ideal candidate will have fundamental knowledge of financial products traded in capital markets, advanced knowledge and experience with C#/.Net, and experience developing multi-threaded applications. You will be responsible for building middle-tier services at scale, developing software that integrates with third-party providers using various protocols, and delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. An advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security is also expected. Practical cloud-native experience and in-depth knowledge of the markets and trading industry are essential.

Requirements

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Experience with and fundamental knowledge of financial products traded in capital markets (e.g., Equities, Futures, Options, Bonds, Swaps, FX).
Advanced knowledge and experience with C#/.Net.
Advanced knowledge and experience in developing multi-threaded applications.
Experience building middle-tier services at scale.
Experience developing software that integrates with third-party, external providers using REST, SOAP, FIX, and secure file transfer.
Hands-on practical experience in delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
In-depth knowledge of the markets and trading industry and their IT systems.
Practical cloud-native experience.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with execution management systems (EMS) or order management systems (OMS) is preferred
Experience working with Portfolio Management systems.
