Head Office (Old Québec) Full-time This position requires on-site presence. The Position The Assistant Buyer allocates their time based on the priorities of the department to which they are assigned. This individual must be organized, make effective use of the tools at their disposal, and demonstrate creativity in problem-solving. The Assistant Buyer role is not a training position to become a Buyer. It is a key support role that the Buying team relies on to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the department.

Requirements

  • Hold a diploma in business administration, commercial management, fashion merchandising, or any other relevant experience.
  • Be detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Have strong organizational skills.
  • Be resourceful and comfortable using computer tools, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communicate effectively, both spoken and written, in French and English, in order to interact with suppliers worldwide.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in retail (an asset).
  • Experience in an administrative environment (an asset).

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the progress of files within the Buying department.
  • Support the team with data entry.
  • Perform basic performance analyses at the request of Buyers.
  • Process orders placed by members of the Buying team.
  • Assist in the layout and preparation of fashion plans for stores.
  • Ensure the updating of purchasing documents.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the department.
