About The Position

Manage the purchasing process for raw materials and subcontracted services based on operational needs and inventory levels. Issue requests for quotation (RFQs), analyze bids, negotiate purchasing terms (price, delivery, conditions), and make recommendations. Create purchase orders in the ERP system, track them, and validate order confirmations.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supplier management, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience in negotiation, supplier relationship management, and sourcing raw materials or subcontracted services.
• Professional certification in supply chain management or procurement (SCMP, PMAC, or equivalent) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain supplier records, price lists, commercial agreements, and contract terms in the ERP system.
• Monitor delivery timelines, follow up as needed, and promptly manage non-conformities or supply disruptions.
• Identify risks of shortages or excess inventory and collaborate with planners and operations management to adjust orders accordingly.
• Participate in supplier performance evaluations (cost, quality, reliability, delivery, service) and recommend improvements or alternatives when required.
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term business relationships with suppliers and strategic partners to support collaboration and organizational objectives.
• Contribute to initiatives related to procurement consolidation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement of sourcing practices.
• Ensure clear, proactive, and efficient communication with internal stakeholders, including operations, maintenance, engineering, and finance teams.
• Conduct ongoing market intelligence to anticipate trends, supply challenges, and price fluctuations in strategic raw materials.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing procurement processes, tools, and practices.
