About The Position

The Buyer purchases materials, equipment, and services for internal company use. The role ensures timely delivery, compliance with quality requirements, accurate pricing, timely payment, and adherence to procurement procedures. This is an onsite position in Rochester, New York.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills for effective communication with suppliers and internal requestors.
Negotiation skills.
MRP experience.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of SAP or experience with a different ERP system.

Responsibilities

Develop collaborative relationships with suppliers and communicate with them daily to support effective transactions.
Issue purchase orders and ensure they are acknowledged, delivered on time, and paid on time.
Resolve transactional issues, including blocked invoices, missing receipts, and returns.
Monitor supplier on-time delivery and performance, address performance issues, and expedite shipments when necessary.
Collaborate with Category Managers and internal clients to ensure alignment on sourcing, price, purchase-order text, and other requirements.
Communicate with internal requestors about demand, late shipments, supplier discontinuance, and related matters.
Work with Logistics to establish shipping instructions for imports.
Select from approved suppliers within authorization limits to achieve best value, quality, and performance; seek quotes and manage RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes.
Source to support Engineering Change Orders, Chem Change Forms, and New Product Development.
Negotiate pricing and payment terms within authorization limits.
Support projects, including purchasing systems implementations and supplier transaction automation.
Maintain accurate procurement system data, including pricing records, source records, the procurement tab of material masters, and vendor master requests such as bank information and tax data.
Ensure data accuracy through Engineering Change implementation (ECR process).
Ensure compliance with Kodak Procurement Procedures, including requirements related to contracting, payment terms, data privacy, and Controllers/Treasury review.
