Join us and help run what runs the world. This position reports to: Planning & Fulfillment Manager. In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team. The work model for the role is: onsite, in Mebane, NC. This role is contributing to the Smart Power Electrification Division.

Requirements

  • 2 year of experience in Materials, Planning, Purchasing, Inventory management etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, Outlook) and purchasing software.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Analytical with a methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Ability to communicate in English

  • Highly skilled in working with relevant tools and methodologies and the Electrification market.

Responsibilities

  • Place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production material as required by forecast and the production schedule.
  • Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication, and mitigation of future potential supply issues.
  • Expedite or defer orders as required based on schedule/inventory discrepancies and/or adjustments.
  • Determine and establish optimal inventory levels based on forecast, demand variation and material lead times.
  • Coordinate material flows throughout product/BOM changes, obsolescence, and introduction of new suppliers and/or materials due to new product development or launches.
  • Provide help & support to internal materials areas such as Receiving, Warehouse & Inventory Management to ensure proper transactions are done in the system. (Receipts on time, Manage and resolve issues regarding PO due to invoice discrepancies, returns and/or quality issues within the supplier data base.
