About The Position

The Buyer supports the purchasing function by accurately entering and managing large, complex purchase orders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an onsite, primarily office-based position at a manufacturing facility in Greenfield, Indiana. The role focuses on high-volume manual data entry, adherence to standard work procedures, and communication with internal teams and external suppliers. The work includes processing approximately 20 purchase orders per day, which may contain 100–150 lines each, and helping reduce the existing purchase order backlog associated with an ERP implementation. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility available. The company is growing and expects to triple in size over the next 5–10 years, offering long-term development opportunities. A new headquarters is planned in Noblesville in 2027, but this position will remain at the current facility. Employees may be eligible for twice-yearly bonus potential upon becoming permanent, and merit reviews may result in pay increases, typically effective in July.
