This person must be able to maintain strict confidentiality, possess strong attention to detail, and have a willingness to do non-routine tasks. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.

Requirements

  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Advanced Excel Skills – including pivot tables and Vlookup
  • MS Office Suit (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Basic knowledge required.
  • Outstanding communication skills (phone, e-mail, video conference, and in person) required.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform basic numerical, statistical, and financial analysis.
  • Must be a self-starter and use initiative and judgment to balance workload and meet objectives.
  • Requires a HS diploma
  • 1+ year of procurement experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with Vista by Viewpoint or other ERP software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the procurement and shipment of tools and PPE related to the mechanical trades to jobsites throughout the country.
  • Perform RFx activities – request for information, request for pricing, request for quotes
  • Establish a network of tool/PPE vendors to support project sites throughout the country.
  • Mange the tool inventory database.
  • Issue purchase orders and perform follow-up to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop processes to improve tool utilization and reduce waste.
  • Collect and analyze data to draw conclusions about tool utilization, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate with vendors including leading meetings with vendors when necessary.
  • Assist other buyers as needed.
  • Ensure positive employee relations and build the B&K culture based on our values.
