About The Position

Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Responsible for negotiating price, delivery and quality of services for all tactical requirements of goods and services in support of the airline operation. Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering charges. Responsible for maintaining process control of material and job activity with the objective of meeting the expectations of the customer. This position requires collateral responsibility for the GUM Micronesia regional support. This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Three years of experience in a purchasing role or equivalent
  • High quality of work, productivity/volume of work, and computer proficiency skills required
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Knowledgeable of sourcing processes.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with suppliers and collaborate with the Strategic Sourcing team and business stakeholders to execute supply and service agreements that support operational and business requirements
  • Execute and manage purchase orders in accordance with company policies, procurement procedures, and operational requirements to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services
  • Maintain and update pricing information, procurement records, and related data to ensure accuracy, compliance with contractual agreements, and informed purchasing decisions
  • Monitor supplier performance, including delivery, quality, service levels, and pricing compliance, and work with suppliers to resolve issues and support continuous improvement
  • Manage inventory of aircraft provisions, cabin supplies, beverages, forms, and other operational materials to maintain adequate stock levels and support daily operations
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and corrective actions to minimize variances and maintain data integrity
  • Prepare and analyze reports, monitor procurement and inventory trends, and provide procurement support for Guam and Micronesia operations to support business decision-making and operational continuity
