About The Position

We are a manufacturing company in the Greater Boston area and are looking for a Buyer / Production Planner. Requirements

Minimum AS degree, Bachelor's preferred
3+ years experience in production planning
Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles
Strong ERP, MS Office Suite, computer skills
Able to understand customer demand schedule and be proactive for such
Manufacturing, operations procedures, math skills, and time management
Able to stand for long periods of time - you will be monitoring all facets of production daily!

Responsibilities

Effectively plan the daily & weekly production of the Company to achieve targeted financial performance objectives
Work with all production, production support, sales, and accounting functions to effectively produce on target production plans
Send out purchase orders (POs)
Properly and effectively manage inventory levels for both, raw materials and components to ensure Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system accurately reflects min/max levels and customer demands can be met
Proactively meet and work with finance and manufacturing management team to ensure operational & financial performance objectives are defined, understood and achieved
Promptly communicate, document, and maintain product information, production schedules, and operational objectives on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and is able to update as required
