About The Position

Sonic Incytes is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Buyer, Inventory, and Logistics Specialist to oversee, manage, and optimize the company’s end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory control, warehousing, and distribution processes. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient purchasing practices, maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinating logistics activities, and supporting the timely delivery of products while driving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Degree or Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain management in a high-tech company.
  • Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret and act on inventory and logistics metrics.
  • Knowledge of demand planning, procurement processes, and vendor management best practices.
  • Familiarity with lean inventory techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven track record in problem-solving, decision-making, and managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Nice To Haves

  • A professional certification (e.g., APICS CPIM/CSCP, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma) is an asset.
  • Experience working in a regulated or quality-controlled environment (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or GMP) is preferred.
  • Background in manufacturing, medical device, or electro-mechanical production environments is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels and accuracy across all product lines.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in InFlow (or other ERP systems) to ensure real-time visibility of on-hand, in-transit, and committed inventory.
  • Develop and manage rolling and quarterly inventory plans aligned with sales forecasts, production schedules, and customer demand.
  • Lead inventory review meetings to evaluate stock positions, open orders, and material requirements, and to drive cross-functional alignment between operations, production, and finance.
  • Report to management on inventory status, movements, and variances as required, providing data-driven insights to support operational decisions.
  • Support the CFO and Finance team in inventory reconciliation activities, ensuring accuracy between physical counts and financial records.
  • Oversee all inbound and outbound logistics, including shipments between suppliers, the warehouse, manufacturing site, and customers.
  • Ensure packaging, documentation, and labeling meet both regulatory and customer compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain shipping procedures to ensure on-time delivery and minimal damage or loss during transit.
  • Maintain full traceability of all serialized and batch-controlled components and finished goods through digital tracking and documentation.
  • Conduct periodic audits of serial number records and stock transactions to confirm compliance and data integrity.
  • Plan, issue, and track purchase orders (POs) for raw materials, components, and supplies based on inventory forecasts and production needs.
  • Work closely with suppliers to manage lead times, negotiate pricing, and resolve delivery discrepancies.
  • Evaluate supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, and service) and maintain preferred vendor lists.
  • Create and release manufacturing orders (MOs) for the assembly team, ensuring all required materials are available and ready for production and that the assembly team are trained and follow the required MO procedure.
  • Track work-in-progress inventory and reconcile material usage post-assembly.
