About The Position

The Buyer II is a critical member of the Supply Chain team responsible for strategic sourcing & supplier management, RFQ and quote analysis, supplier negotiations, material planning and purchasing, and supporting manufacturing operations through proactive supply chain execution. This role combines analytical problem-solving, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure materials arrive on time, at the right cost, and with the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • 5–8 years of purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with MRP planning systems
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and make sound business decisions independently
  • Professional, collaborative, and detail-oriented mindset
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder (No visa sponsorship available)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
  • Preferred Supply Chain Certification- APICS Certification

Responsibilities

  • Manage strategic suppliers and commodities
  • Create and manage purchase orders and RFQs
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules
  • Maintain MRP system integrity and inventory parameters
  • Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs), supplier proposals, and specifications
  • Prepare material quote packages for customer RFQs
  • Gather and summarize cost data using Excel
  • Review material and NRE estimates for bid submissions
  • Work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Receiving teams
  • Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues
  • Participate in customer discussions when needed
  • Recommend process improvements and operational efficiencies
