About The Position

The Buyer II is a critical member of the Supply Chain team responsible for strategic sourcing & supplier management, RFQ and quote analysis, supplier negotiations, material planning and purchasing, and supporting manufacturing operations through proactive supply chain execution. This role combines analytical problem-solving, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure materials arrive on time, at the right cost, and with the highest quality standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (required)
5–8 years of purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with MRP planning systems
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Strong negotiation and analytical skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and make sound business decisions independently
Professional, collaborative, and detail-oriented mindset
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder (No visa sponsorship available)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
Preferred Supply Chain Certification- APICS Certification

Responsibilities

Manage strategic suppliers and commodities
Create and manage purchase orders and RFQs
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules
Maintain MRP system integrity and inventory parameters
Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs), supplier proposals, and specifications
Prepare material quote packages for customer RFQs
Gather and summarize cost data using Excel
Review material and NRE estimates for bid submissions
Work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Receiving teams
Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues
Participate in customer discussions when needed
Recommend process improvements and operational efficiencies
