About The Position

The Buyer, CapEx & Services works under the general guidance of the Sr. Manager, Capex & Services. The role supports assigned categories by independently sourcing materials and/or services through day-to-day activities and special projects. The Buyer analyzes assigned categories, produces relevant metrics, generates SAP reports, and makes sound business decisions. The position works collaboratively and maintains positive business relationships with internal and external customers. The role is based in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
2–5 years of applicable purchasing experience.
At least 2 years of experience using an ERP system for activities such as buying, researching, and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to analyze assigned categories, produce relevant metrics, generate SAP reports, and make sound business decisions.
Capabilities in analytical thinking and decision-making, business and financial acumen, effective communication, customer orientation, establishing trust, problem-solving, accountability and results orientation, teamwork and collaboration, adaptability, continuous improvement, and self-development.

Nice To Haves

A degree major in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Process a high volume of requisitions from multiple sites within assigned categories.
Prepare and coordinate agreements for assigned commodities and/or services.
Use the company ERP system to run complex reports and perform analytics.
Release orders in a timely manner while adhering to established company guidelines.
Independently negotiate contracts, prices, and supplier agreements.
Evaluate, qualify, and select suppliers based on quality, service, cost, and capability.
Ensure agreements, purchases, and initiatives comply with established department policies and procedures.
Stay informed about marketplace trends in prices, suppliers, and other conditions affecting assigned categories.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary business information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
