About The Position

As an Administrative Assistant in Merchandising, you support the company buying process through effective communication with buyers and vendors, and processing orders and report information with attention to detail. You use your superior organizational skills to impact the buying team and the stores.

Requirements

  • Superior organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to learn new computer programs and software

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with vendors by telephone or email regarding order updates, market appointments, order confirmations, and selling information
  • Communicate with buyers, stores and distribution center personnel frequently
  • Compile various reports and projects as assigned
  • Update buy plans, purchase orders, and additional analysis tools on computer
  • Key information into inventory database
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Adapt to learning new computer program and software
