About The Position

Eaton is seeking a Buyer Assistant to serve as a liaison between the plant and suppliers. This role involves monitoring material shortage reports that could impact sales, updating reports for Production and Operations, and communicating daily critical material statuses to Buyers/Planners. Key responsibilities also include sending monthly forecasts to suppliers, entering and maintaining Purchase Orders, updating PO acknowledgements and due dates, maintaining Supplier KPI’s, and ensuring data integrity. The position offers an hourly rate of $21.52 - $25.15 and operates during core hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of El Paso, TX, and Eaton will not sponsor employment immigration for this role.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of Supply Chain Experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or within a team
• Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
• Two years or more experience in Supply Chain
• Previous experience in roles such as materials or purchasing assistance
• Previous use of AS 400

Responsibilities
