About The Position

We are currently looking for a Buyer 2, Powertrain Project Management to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI. The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience, Associate’s degree with an additional 4 years of experience, or High School Diploma/GED with at least 8 years of equivalent experience required.
MS Office experience including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Previous leadership and/or project management experience.
Cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to travel locally up to 20%.

Responsibilities

Negotiate and establish pricing for assigned production part commodities while supporting cost reduction goals.
Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to meet current and future production requirements.
Ensure suppliers achieve quality, cost, and delivery targets through performance management and competitive sourcing analysis.
Manage contracts, purchase orders, and purchasing records for assigned commodities.
Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve supply issues, maintain continuity of supply, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
