About The Position

The Busser is responsible for efficiently clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables while assisting food servers with guest table service. The role helps maximize table turns and maintain restaurant flow. Bussers maintain assigned areas and side stations, replenish stock, respond to guest concerns, and complete assigned opening, running, and closing side work. The work takes place in a fast-paced, high-volume, full-service restaurant and may be indoors or outdoors, with exposure to hot or cold surfaces, steam, wet floors, noise, crowds, and smoke. Shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possession of, or ability to possess, all state-required work cards.
• At least one year of related experience.
• Knowledge of proper lifting techniques, guest relations, sanitation and safety, and full-service restaurant operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in English, verbally and in writing, with staff, clients, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Clear, clean, and reset tables before, during, and after service to turn tables efficiently.
• Maintain knowledge of table, seat, and station numbers and proper table setups.
• Keep assigned areas and side stations clean and stocked.
• Assist guests and team members with needs and inquiries.
• Replenish necessary stock during the shift.
• Respond to guest concerns or complaints, correct errors, and resolve complaints with a positive attitude; escalate to management when needed.
• Clean and dry spills immediately.
• Move furniture and equipment as directed by management.
• Report and record breakage.
• Maintain knowledge of the correct maintenance and use of equipment.
• Complete assigned opening, running, and closing side work, and assist teammates with these duties upon request.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.
