About The Position

The Lambertville Station Inn is seeking a team-oriented Busser. No prior experience is required, and on-site training is available. The role supports efficient restaurant service by preparing and clearing tables, assisting guests and servers, and coordinating with servers and the hostess. Candidates must be willing to work weekends and/or holidays if needed.

The position is performed in a restaurant environment with a usually moderate-to-high noise level. The employee regularly uses their hands to handle or feel, reaches with their hands and arms, and talks or hears. Standing and walking are frequent. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, as well as focus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain a service area assignment at the beginning of each shift.
• Promptly greet guests as they are seated.
• Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for the next course.
• Clear tables after guests leave.
• Take tableware to the dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, and other items in the appropriate areas for washing.
• Promptly clean tabletops, chairs, and booths between seatings.
• Check the floor and clean it as required.
• Respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate those requests as needed.
• Communicate with the server and hostess to support efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service.
• Assist servers with food delivery as needed, especially for large parties and during peak periods.
• Thank guests as they leave.
• Fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operation, as directed by the manager or immediate supervisor.
