About The Position

Hotel Equities is searching for a Busser for the Hotel Paso Del Norte in El Paso, Texas. The position requires performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including quickly clearing dirty table settings and preparing tables for resetting, promptly and consistently resetting all service ware as prescribed. The role also involves assisting in stocking server stations, assisting servers with food and beverage service to ensure guest satisfaction, and transporting all dirty tableware from the dining room to the dishwashing area for proper cleaning. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Additional duties include performing general cleaning tasks, folding napkins, performing assigned side work, and other duties as requested such as cleaning spills, answering telephones, taking room service orders, handling special guest requests, helping to maintain buffets, greeting and seating guests, and ensuring guest satisfaction according to Hilton guidelines. Requirements

Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
Ability to understand and communicate English to comprehend and respond to basic guest requests.
Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.
Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Bussing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting.
Promptly and consistently reset all service ware as prescribed.
Assist in the stocking of server stations.
Assist server with food & beverage service to ensure guest satisfaction.
Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
Fold napkins for all meal periods throughout the day to maintain an adequate supply.
Perform all assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking sidestands in assistance to the food servers.
Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills, answering telephones and taking room service orders, handling special guest requests, helping to maintain and or organize buffet, greeting and seating guests and ensuring guest satisfaction according to Hilton guidelines.
