About The Position

The Busser is responsible for setting up tables with clean linens, utensils, and glassware, clearing and cleaning tables after guests leave, and ensuring the dining area is clean, presentable, and safe. This role also involves assisting wait staff, replenishing supplies, and providing friendly and attentive service to guests to enhance their dining experience. The Busser is expected to exemplify MCR's values, maintain a positive work environment, and follow specific service standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Class III B gaming license.
  • Must maintain a valid WA State Health Card/Food Handlers Permit.
  • Knowledge of health & safety standards, and safety regulations as required.
  • Ability to demonstrate a well-groomed presence and always maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, work efficiently, and manage their time to keep up with the pace of service.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in upscale hospitality or fine dining restaurant highly preferred!
  • Role training provided for candidates who demonstrate a passion for guest service; motivation to learn; and a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including attentiveness, friendliness, and the ability to handle guests.
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the restaurant and guests is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Set up tables with clean tablecloths, napkins, utensils, and glassware before guests arrive.
  • Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave, ensuring they are reset for the next guest.
  • Empty and clean trash receptacles, ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling practices.
  • Refill supplies such as napkins, straws, and condiments as needed.
  • Replenish ice and beverage stations.
  • Assist the wait staff as needed.
  • Keep the floor area and seats clean and presentable and in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, responding to their needs and inquiries.
  • Anticipate and proactively address guest requirements to enhance their dining experience.
  • Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive work environment.
  • Smile and engage guests and team members with a positive professional demeanor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow all the unique standards and steps of service to your particular outlet.
