ROOF on theWit is a premier rooftop destination in downtown Chicago, offering elevated cocktails, dynamic entertainment, and stunning skyline views. As part of theWit Chicago, a Hilton Hotel, we are committed to creating unforgettable guest experiences. We are seeking hospitality professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and are passionate about delivering outstanding service. The Busser supports front-of-house operations by assisting servers, delivering food, maintaining dining areas, and ensuring guests receive attentive and seamless service, playing an important role in upholding the elevated dining standards and guest experience at ROOF on theWit.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
  • TIPS and ServSafe certifications required.
  • Fluent English communication skills with a professional and polished demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to set and clear tables efficiently without breakage.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Must maintain professional appearance and proper uniform standards at all times.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts in a 24/7 hotel environment.
  • Must be available on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays.
  • Regular and reliable attendance required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist servers with food and beverage service in a professional, organized, and timely manner.
  • Run food and carry trays safely and efficiently throughout the restaurant.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables according to restaurant standards.
  • Provide water and beverage service while maintaining attentive table service.
  • Complete opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and health code standards throughout the outlet.
  • Support a collaborative “Whatever It Takes” team culture.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service aligned with Four Diamond hospitality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain composure and professionalism in a high-volume restaurant environment.
