About The Position

The Bus Person assists servers in providing high-quality service to guests and maintains cleanliness and sanitation throughout operating hours. The role ensures tables remain clean and presentable, with clean china, glassware, silverware, and linen. This is a seasonal winter position designated J1.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Flexibility to work long hours when required.
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a hotel or related field.

Responsibilities

• Keep work areas clean and properly stocked for the current meal period.
• Clean and set tables according to property-specific standards.
• Break down trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dish room according to established standards.
• Assist servers by delivering and refilling beverages, pre-bussing tables, and promptly resolving guest requests.
• Complete daily opening and closing duties and cleaning according to the established side-work checklist.
• Provide service to guests as needed when the waiter is absent.
• Maintain beverages in guests’ glasses or cups at least three-quarters full.
