About The Position

As Busser/Food Runner, you’ll connect the kitchen and dining room by delivering food quickly, keeping tables guest-ready, and supporting the team throughout service. The role includes assisting with initial table service, responding to guest requests, maintaining dining-area cleanliness, and communicating order priorities and special requests between kitchen and front-of-house staff. The position requires prolonged standing and walking, as well as lifting and carrying service items and frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately.
• Refill beverages and respond to guest requests in a timely manner.
• Assist with initial table service, such as providing water, bread, or welcome items.
• Answer basic guest questions about menu items and relay requests to servers.
• Ensure order accuracy, including attention to allergies and special requests.
• Assist servers in clearing and resetting tables to restaurant standards.
• Perform side work such as polishing silverware, refilling condiments, and crumbing tables.
• Prepare and reset tables before and after guest use, promptly removing used dishes, utensils, and glassware.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas throughout service.
• Communicate order priorities and special requests between kitchen staff and the front-of-house team.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Support team members during peak service periods and relay guest feedback to appropriate staff.
