About The Position

The Busperson provides service to tables by ensuring they have adequate supplies, including water, glasses, silverware, butter, and placemats. The role serves water, bread, and butter to guests after they are seated; assists servers with clearing dishes and resetting tables; transports soiled dishes to kitchen service areas; and helps clean spills during mealtime. The Busperson leaves their station orderly for the following shift, promotes positive public relations, and performs other duties as assigned.

Applicants will be trained, and no previous experience is necessary. They must be able to perform assigned duties safely and efficiently. Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations. The position involves frequent or constant standing, walking, lifting, carrying, working at a rapid pace, interacting with people, and working indoors in a fast-paced environment. Lifting and carrying may involve up to 50 pounds; reaching may be up to 7 feet.

Responsibilities

• Keep tables supplied with water, glasses, silverware, butter, placemats, and other adequate supplies.
• Serve water, bread, and butter to guests after they are seated.
• Assist servers with removing dishes and resetting tables.
• Transport soiled dishes to kitchen service areas.
• Assist with cleaning spills during mealtime.
• Leave the station in order for the following shift.
• Promote positive public relations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
