About The Position

The Busperson is responsible for clearing and cleaning tables, assisting servers, and ensuring the dining area is tidy and well-stocked. This role requires a self-starting personality with an even disposition, the ability to maintain a professional appearance and manner, and strong communication skills with both guests and coworkers. The Busperson must be willing to assist colleagues and be a team player, possess knowledge of table settings and serviceware, and be able to handle physical demands such as lifting, carrying, and moving goods.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • Ability to communicate well with guests.
  • Willingness to pitch-in and be a team player.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware.
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.
  • Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 150 lbs.
  • Maintain hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance.
  • Adaptability to change and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to solve routine problems.
  • Adherence to hotel security policies and procedures (key controls, lifting, chemicals, reporting hazards).
