About The Position

Executive Opportunity. Located near Athens, Georgia, this opportunity is differentiated by three factors: (1) it is a full Division President role with responsibility for all functions, complete P&L ownership, and both strategic and operational leadership accountability; (2) there are significant opportunities to grow the Granite Division both organically and through acquisition beyond its current scale; and (3) the successful leader will have the opportunity to lead an entrepreneurial, market-leading business within Matthews Memorialization while leveraging the resources and support of a larger public company. Matthews International (NASDAQ: MATW) is a diversified, publicly traded company with more than $1 billion in annual revenue. Matthews Granite is one of the three core businesses within the Memorialization Group and the recognized leader in granite memorialization in the United States. The business generates over $125 million in annual revenue with the potential to build to $200 million and employs approximately 500 team members across multiple manufacturing and operating locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business management or related field
• 15+ years progressive business management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 10+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect)
• High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
• Experience leading manufacturing and distribution operations
• Experience driving growth through sales and marketing leadership in a B2B environment
• Track record of delivering profitable growth through both commercial and operational leadership.
