About The Position

At Regions, the Business Unit Operations Specialist performs a variety of operational tasks within the line of business. This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to learn additional systems as needed
  • Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of operations or related experience

Responsibilities

  • Receives and reviews incoming work, contacting appropriate resources as needed
  • Resolves customer or associate inquiries as necessary
  • Prepares, edits, distributes, and/or corrects documents
  • May research and resolve payment related issues which may include missing payments, disputed accounts history requests and general related questions
  • Works under general supervision following established guidelines and procedures
  • Sort and process departmental faxes, mail, and other documents
  • Sort and process documents submitted by customers
  • Download, prepare, and fax or email documents to customers
  • Calls to customers to request specific documents or actions
