About The Position

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Business Transformation professional in Denver, CO. This role involves providing technical consulting in facility condition assessments, energy audits, capital planning, and data analytics. The focus is on client engagements aimed at optimizing facility portfolio performance, enhancing infrastructure resilience, and guiding long-term capital investment strategies. The position requires leading and conducting comprehensive facility condition assessments, planning and performing detailed energy audits, and overseeing data quality assurance processes. Analysis of complex datasets related to facility performance, capital renewal needs, and operational risk is crucial for supporting long-term planning. The role also involves preparing technical reports, developing capital investment plans, advising on project prioritization, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Mentoring junior staff is also a key responsibility. Up to 50% domestic travel is required, and telecommuting is permitted up to 3 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Design and Environmental Analysis, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Business Transformation Specialist, Energy Modeler, Mechanical Design Engineer, or a related occupation OR Master's degree in Design and Environmental Analysis, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience as a Business Transformation Specialist, Energy Modeler, Mechanical Design Engineer, or a related occupation
  • Experience in BUILDER Energy modeling software
  • Experience with custom dashboards
  • Experience supporting data-driven recommendations and strategic planning
  • Experience with ASHRAE energy audit templates
  • Experience with mechanical and lighting systems
  • Experience analyzing equipment and meter data
  • Experience performing LCCA to determine energy conservation measures
  • Experience with Assessor apps on tablets for collecting asset and nameplate data
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel for cost analysis, scorecard, and report generation on site condition and capital planning

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical consulting in facility condition assessments, energy audits, capital planning, and data analytics
  • Client engagements focused on optimizing facility portfolio performance, infrastructure resilience, and long-term capital investment strategies
  • Lead and conduct comprehensive facility condition assessments to evaluate the physical integrity, system performance, and lifecycle status of client facilities and infrastructure
  • Plan and perform detailed energy audits, identifying energy conservation measures and developing practical recommendations for improved energy efficiency and cost savings
  • Oversee data quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of facility inventory data, deficiencies, and cost projections
  • Analyze complex datasets related to facility performance, capital renewal needs, and operational risk to support long-term planning and investment decisions
  • Prepare and review technical reports summarizing findings, energy opportunities, risk mitigation strategies, and capital improvement recommendations
  • Develop capital investment plans that prioritize projects based on asset criticality, risk exposure, funding constraints, and client objectives
  • Advise on project prioritization frameworks using lifecycle cost analysis, ROI modeling, and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that improve asset performance and portfolio value
  • Mentor junior staff, providing technical oversight, QA/QC support, and professional development in asset management methodologies and client-facing work
