About The Position

Wake County is seeking a Business Technology Transformation Manager to lead key practices driving organizational change, including change management, relationship management, process improvement and innovation, communities of practice and user-centered design and testing. In this role, you’ll shape how employees and residents experience technology across Wake County. This position offers a hybrid schedule, combining remote flexibility with in‑office collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3 years of: local government initiative management; business alignment; guiding cross functional teams; and/or building communities of practice
  • Equivalent education and experience may be accepted

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Business Technology Transformation team
  • Lead business transformation and user-centered design activities associated with major projects, ensuring the organization is prepared to successfully adopt new ways of working
  • Build and support communities of practice around high priority and emerging technologies
  • Lead partnerships and collaborations with departments on business process improvement efforts prior to technology deployment
  • Manage relationships between the team, IT leadership, County departments and the Management Office to identify business needs early, guide direction and translate them into the necessary pre-work so that the technology delivers positive outcomes
