About The Position

Wake County is seeking a Business Technology Transformation Manager to lead key practices driving organizational change, including change management, relationship management, process improvement and innovation, communities of practice and user-centered design and testing. In this role, you’ll shape how employees and residents experience technology across Wake County. This position offers a hybrid schedule, combining remote flexibility with in‑office collaboration.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field
3 years of: local government initiative management; business alignment; guiding cross functional teams; and/or building communities of practice
Equivalent education and experience may be accepted

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Business Technology Transformation team
Lead business transformation and user-centered design activities associated with major projects, ensuring the organization is prepared to successfully adopt new ways of working
Build and support communities of practice around high priority and emerging technologies
Lead partnerships and collaborations with departments on business process improvement efforts prior to technology deployment
Manage relationships between the team, IT leadership, County departments and the Management Office to identify business needs early, guide direction and translate them into the necessary pre-work so that the technology delivers positive outcomes
