About The Position

Become a Key Player as a Business Team Leader. You will lead a multi-disciplinary, customer-focused business team to deliver program objectives and ensure contract and schedule commitments are met. You will influence cross-functional priorities and work closely with Program Management, Contract Administration, Customer Service, and external customers. Onsite at a manufacturing division site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, program management, or a similar discipline.
  • Eight (8) or more years of progressive experience in program management, business development, or manufacturing operations.
  • Four or more years of team and project leadership experience with advanced planning and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and relevant government contracting regulations and clauses.
  • Proficiency with program management concepts, tools, risk management, earned value techniques, and critical path analysis.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to identify high-risk contract terms.
  • Strong financial acumen related to project cost and budgetary planning/control.
  • Proficiency with standard software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SAP), project management, and database analysis tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams overseeing complex government contracts and ensure consistent approaches and alignment across programs.
  • Define projects and outcome measures for cross-functional teams tied to major business programs.
  • Establish and implement tactical and operational plans to achieve division objectives.
  • Serve as the customer-to-company liaison on program performance and respond to significant customer inquiries.
  • Direct development of major proposals and participate in contract negotiations impacting sales and earnings.
  • Provide program status reporting, identify and resolve potential problems, and ensure contractual and schedule compliance.
  • Advise site staff on program performance and contractual obligations; set priorities across multiple projects.
  • Lead process improvements, training, and rollout efforts to institutionalize changes.
