About The Position

Publix Super Markets, Inc. is seeking a highly analytical Intermediate Business Systems Analyst to join the Real Estate Financials team. This role focuses on the modernization of complex real estate systems using a modern tech stack. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders, demonstrate servant leadership, and a desire for continuous learning. In this role, you will support the design and development of integrations for modern systems, develop detailed technical requirements, create user stories, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. You will work closely with product owners, QA, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver secure, compliant solutions aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, including identifying business processes and supporting process improvements
3+ years of experience planning, organizing, and managing all activities associated with delivering solutions in a distributed environment
3+ years of experience working with SQL Server enterprise database management systems
3+ years of experience utilizing Agile project management and code management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps or Jira)
Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), with the ability to operate effectively within defined roles and responsibilities
Ability to provide after-hours support during and after application deployment, including researching complex issues, determining root causes, developing workarounds, and coordinating with vendors for resolution
Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements and user stories
Experience working in cross-functional teams with developers, QA, UX designers, and product owners

Nice To Haves

5+ years’ business systems analysis experience
Knowledge of infrastructure and systems concepts
Experience performing data analysis by creating and executing queries, interpreting results, and communicating findings to both technical and business audiences
Experience working as a Scrum Master within an Agile Scrum framework and applying it to product development and delivery
Experience with real estate or facilities management systems (e.g., IWMS, lease administration platforms, space planning tools)
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for reporting and data visualization
Experience with collaboration tools, like MIRO
Continued education including additional analytical or business degrees, and/or various technical disciplines
Experience in Real Estate and/or financial systems analysis or support
Experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst with mobile and web applications
Experience using Microsoft DevOps to manage agile team backlog and sprint

Responsibilities

Facilitate requirements sessions and document business/system needs with stakeholders
Champion product vision, prioritize backlog, and track deliverables for timely completion
Communicate project and product status to leadership and stakeholders
Collaborate with analysts to document processes, gather requirements, and identify improvements
Partner with Architecture, Security, Compliance, and Audit to design secure, reliable solutions
Develop detailed implementation plans for complex technology solutions
Diagnose issues and define escalation paths for complex problems
Oversee delivery processes: system access, data protection, and vendor engagement
Align proposed solutions with agreed scope and limitations across teams
Define acceptance criteria, conduct UAT, and validate deliverables
Advocate for business needs to ensure solutions meet user and process requirements
Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative solutions aligned with strategy
Provide after-hours deployment support, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate vendor resolutions
Leverage AI tools to drive productivity improvements across the systems development lifecycle
