The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for preparing well-documented functional specifications, test plans, and test cases for assigned projects. This role involves research and analysis of complex data to ensure the accuracy of functional designs. The analyst will also serve as a mentor to less experienced staff, assisting with application training, research analysis, and project methodology consultation. Additionally, the Business Systems Analyst will act as a functional lead on complex projects, facilitating project team meetings and documenting minutes. They will meet with business clients to understand application change requests, participate in design discussions, and ensure technology applications support customer needs and business services. The role requires coordinating and providing estimates for projects, serving as a subject matter expert on application impacts, and working with vendors and technical teams. The analyst may also serve as a Test Coordinator, participate in data mapping for system integrations and acquisitions, and work with other testing teams to prepare test plans and scripts. Monitoring functional specifications and change requests to ensure projects stay within scope and meet regulatory requirements is crucial. The role also involves ensuring efficient resolution of issues, coordinating post-implementation activities, and adhering to risk and regulatory standards. Promoting diversity and maintaining internal control standards are also key aspects of this position.
