About The Position

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for preparing well-documented functional specifications, test plans, and test cases for assigned projects. This role involves research and analysis of complex data to ensure the accuracy of functional designs. The analyst will also serve as a mentor to less experienced staff, providing assistance with application training, research analysis, and project methodology consultation. Additionally, they will act as a functional lead on complex projects for assigned applications, schedule and facilitate project team meetings, and document/distribute meeting minutes. The Business Systems Analyst will meet with business clients to discuss requested application changes, ensuring a thorough understanding of specifications. They will participate in design discussions, document functional specifications, and provide feedback to clients regarding business requirements to ensure technology applications support customer needs and business services. The role involves reviewing business requirements with the technology team, coordinating and providing estimates for projects, and serving as a subject matter expert to advise on the impact of enterprise-wide initiatives. Collaboration with vendors and technical teams is essential to understand project functionality and provide implementation insights. The analyst may also serve as a Test Coordinator for large projects, participate in data mapping for system integration, conversion, and acquisition projects, and work with other testing teams to prepare test plans and scripts. Monitoring functional specifications and change requests to ensure projects stay within scope and meet regulatory requirements, while adhering to business requirements and Corporate Technology standards, is crucial. The role also includes ensuring change requests are documented, reviewed, and resolved, and coordinating post-implementation activities. Adherence to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls is required, along with identifying and escalating risk-related issues. Promoting an environment that supports diversity and reflects the Bank brand, maintaining internal control standards, and completing other related duties as assigned are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare well-documented functional specifications for assigned projects.

  • Coordinate and manage post-implementation activities, including feedback, issue resolution, and debriefing.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the Bank brand.
  • Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
