About The Position

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) partners with business stakeholders, development, and QA to ensure Bullfrog's systems support real business needs in a clear, reliable, and scalable way. This role focuses on understanding how the business operates, translating needs into clear system requirements, and aligning teams before work begins so solutions are delivered efficiently and correctly. Success in this role comes from strong judgment, communication, and the ability to bring clarity to complex processes. Success in this role is measured by the clarity and alignment established before development begins, reducing rework, defects, and late‑stage surprises.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a closely related role, with demonstrated ownership of requirements from discovery through delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Working knowledge of modern software delivery lifecycles and collaboration with development and QA teams
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or equivalent practical experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM, service management, HRIS, or workflow platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Asana, Paylocity, Zuper)
  • Experience supporting ERP transitions where teams must navigate integrating existing customized systems and adopting standardized, constraint‑driven ERP workflows
  • Familiarity with integrations, automation, and data‑driven workflows
  • Experience documenting end‑to‑end business processes or system behavior
  • Experience using modern tools, including AI‑assisted analysis tools, to accelerate requirement drafting, identify edge cases, validate completeness, and improve overall quality of documentation

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand workflows, goals, constraints, and pain points across business operations
  • Define clear, testable functional requirements and acceptance criteria that development and QA can execute against with minimal rework
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and delivery teams to establish shared understanding before work begins
  • Evaluate solution options including configuration, integrations, third‑party platforms, or custom development. Clearly communicate tradeoffs to support sound decisions.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing systems and processes and propose practical, implementable improvements
  • Maintain organized documentation of requirements, assumptions, and decisions to support long‑term system clarity
