About The Position

Bain Capital is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (Treasury & Investment Finance Systems) to join their Information Technology department in Boston, MA. This role involves partnering with Treasury and Finance stakeholders to gather and document requirements, evaluate and implement solutions leveraging AI, and serve as a liaison between business users and technology teams. The analyst will be responsible for developing comprehensive documentation, assessing existing technology, coordinating user acceptance testing, managing system requests and issues, and overseeing system enhancements through the SDLC. The position requires collaborating with end users, external vendors, technology partners, and banking partners to deliver projects effectively and ensure timely resolution of critical system issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
• At least 2 years of experience implementing and supporting Treasury or Cash Management solutions
• Experience with treasury management systems such as GTreasury, Kyriba, Bellin, HazelTree, Reval, etc.
• Understanding of SWIFT messaging (MT messages / ISO 20022 standards) and U.S. payment networks (ABA, ACH)
• Experience implementing and maintaining SaaS platforms
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining system integrations (APIs)
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, including ability to write queries and stored procedures
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn, with a strong sense of ownership in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and system initiatives
• AI enablement is a prerequisite: demonstrated fluency with generative AI tools and a track record of applying them to improve productivity, deliver business solutions, and drive adoption across teams
• Versatility to perform across multiple roles, including business analysis, systems analysis, data analysis, and product management

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree with a concentration in Technology or Systems
• Experience implementing or supporting FX hedging solutions
• Familiarity with investment management, private equity, venture capital, and alternative investment concepts, terminology, and systems
• Proven ability to support a functionally diverse and highly engaged user base with demanding solution requirements
• Experience configuring or supporting the Salesforce platform
• Exposure to FX hedging tools such as Kyriba
• Experience with cash projection and liquidity reporting
• Familiarity with iPaaS tools such as Workato or Power Automate
• Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience supporting internally developed applications
• Experience with data transformation tools such as DBT
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted (“vibe coding”) development using agentic tools such as Claude Code and Claude Cowork to prototype, build, and iterate on solutions

Responsibilities

• Partner with Treasury and Finance stakeholders to gather, validate, and document data, business requirements, and reporting needs.
• Evaluate and implement off-the-shelf/custom internal build solutions leveraging AI to augment current state processes.
• Develop comprehensive documentation supporting business and technology initiatives, including business and data requirements, data flows, data models, workflow design, and user interface specifications.
• Serve as a liaison between business users and technology teams to facilitate implementation of requirements across both large-scale and incremental initiatives.
• Continuously assess existing technology solutions to ensure alignment with business objectives; identify process and system improvement opportunities while evaluating associated risks and financial impacts.
• Coordinate and execute user acceptance testing and develop supporting system documentation and training materials.
• Manage incoming requests and issues related to treasury and finance systems, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
• Plan, document, and oversee system enhancements and implementations through all phases of the SDLC.
• Collaborate with end users to design creative, pragmatic technology solutions to complex problems.
• Partner with external vendors and technology partners to deliver projects effectively.
• Work with banking partners to onboard new banks and integrate them into the firm’s treasury platforms.
• Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining clear expectations with stakeholders.
• Respond promptly to critical system issues, driving root-cause analysis and sustainable resolution.
