About The Position

This is a temporary project role for a Business Systems Analyst in Austin, TX, with an estimated duration of 12 months and possible extensions. The role requires a hybrid work setting, with the expectation of working 100% of the time at the Client's site in Austin, TX.

Requirements

• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Austin, TX.
• Experience analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer systems (2 years).
• Experience writing detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer systems (2 years).
• Experience reviewing computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system (2 years).
• Experience in solving problems; in scheduling, testing, installing and implementing programs and troubleshooting computer systems (2 years).

Responsibilities

• Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
• Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system.
• Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports.
• Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program.
• Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
