About The Position

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst to work for our company. The client agency is the National Science Foundation. This role will provide expertise in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts and in translating business process needs into technical requirements. The analyst will also provide organizational and strategic planning for a wide variety of technical and functional environments, with expertise in areas such as Configuration Management, Strategic Planning, Business Analysis, and Technical Analysis. The position involves assisting in applying common industry best practices to the customer using a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting analytics solutions. Additionally, the role requires assessing the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its components, helping to define engagement direction and strategy while ensuring organizational needs are met. The analyst will identify IT inadequacies and/or deficiencies affecting the functional area’s ability to support/meet organizational goals and support the development of functional area strategies for enhanced analytics solutions, data management, and reporting capabilities.

Requirements

  • Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • 5+ years in in an analytics-related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts and in translating business process needs into technical requirements.
  • Provide organizational and strategic planning for a wide variety of technical and functional environments.
  • Provide expertise in, but not limited to, Configuration Management, Strategic Planning, Business Analysis and Technical Analysis.
  • Assist in applying common best practices for the industry to the customer using a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and to identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting analytics solutions.
  • Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components and help to define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed.
  • Identify information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area’s ability to support/meet organizational goals.
  • Support the development of functional area strategies for enhanced analytics solutions, data management, and reporting capabilities.
