About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Business Systems Analyst V opening for our client. This is a 6-month contract position located in Buffalo, NY. The role involves leading complex projects from requirements gathering through post-implementation, analyzing business requirements and complex data to develop functional specifications, and serving as a functional lead and subject matter expert. The Business Systems Analyst will coordinate project meetings, estimates, timelines, testing activities, and data mapping. They will also develop and execute test plans, monitor change requests, coordinate post-implementation activities, mentor less experienced staff, and identify and escalate risks.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years of combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics experience.
Strong business analysis, problem-solving, organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Experience analyzing complex information and developing or implementing solutions.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects, competing priorities, and project milestones.
Proficiency with personal computers and relevant project management, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across business and technology teams.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Experience with acquisitions, system conversions, integrations, or complex application implementations.

Responsibilities

Lead complex projects from requirements gathering through post-implementation, managing scope, milestones, timelines, deliverables, and project documentation.
Analyze business requirements and complex data to develop functional specifications, evaluate system impacts, and support application enhancements, integrations, conversions, and enterprise initiatives.
Serve as functional lead and subject matter expert, partnering with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and testing teams to ensure solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate project meetings, estimates, timelines, testing activities, and data mapping across applications and business units.
Develop and execute test plans and test cases; identify, document, and resolve issues during testing and implementation.
Monitor change requests and project deliverables for adherence to business requirements, technology standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Coordinate post-implementation activities, including issue resolution, stakeholder feedback, and project debriefs.
Mentor less experienced staff and provide guidance on application training, research, analysis, and project methodology.
Identify and escalate risks and ensure timely resolution of issues affecting project or application performance.
