About The Position

The Business Systems Analyst II will identify the tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison between technology and business side stakeholders with the goal of helping deliver new and enhanced processes, products, and services on time and within budget. This role operates within an Agile framework (Scrum or Kanban) and emphasizes collaboration, clear communication, and detailed documentation to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience required.
  • 3+ years’ SQL querying skills.
  • 1+ years’ experience in modeling / mapping business processes.
  • 1+ years’ experience planning and facilitating UAT for projects and enhancements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate meetings, conduct presentations, negotiate and build consensus with limited supervision.
  • The ability to perform detailed data mapping and data modeling, as well as create network topology diagrams, and process flow diagrams.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of API.
  • Practical knowledge of the following: Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and .NET and/or MySQL, Java, and web based applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications in Agile, Scrum, or DevOps strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Azure Development Ops (ADO) or JIRA is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain User Stories/Requirements, map them to features, and define acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with the Product Owner for user story traceability, refinement, and epic & feature development.
  • Partner with the Product Owner for user story refinement and backlog prioritization.
  • Adhere to Agile principles and philosophies (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Encourage cross-functional team collaboration and create an environment of open and honest communication.
  • Facilitate and actively contribute in team meetings and workshops to gather and identify business needs.
  • Translate technical jargon between the Product Owner, QA analysts, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Utilize critical/analytical thinking skills to document business processes, functional specifications, non-functional specifications, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with all audit requirements of the company.
  • Conduct independent research and analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Create simple SQL queries and help map data elements.
  • Create data maps, identify data sources, and data flows in the ETL environment.
  • Build and maintain a repository of project artifacts using SharePoint or Jira and other document management solutions.
  • Lead department initiatives with limited supervision.
  • Provide mentoring and training to junior team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
