About The Position

SNC is seeking a Business Systems Analyst II (BSA) for the delivery of modern technology solutions. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to document and implement data and technology initiatives and deliver solutions. Ideal candidates can balance an understanding of the underlying business requirements and work with technology experts to document requirements for a solution while also mastering stakeholder communication. As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in business analyst systems, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Strong experience with data analysis and business intelligence tools.
  • Aptitude to learn new technologies quickly such as Power BI and SQL.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze business systems and/or business processes to identify user needs, document requirements, and address process improvements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with agile tools such as Rally, Azure DevOps, Jira, Github
  • Experience testing technical solutions
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure)
  • Ability to obtain a Scrum Master certification
  • Strong knowledge of requirements documentation tools such as Visio, Word, Excel, Jira, and/or Azure DevOps
  • Experience with data mapping and documentation of system integration metadata and touchpoints necessary for implementation
  • Basic experience with writing SQL and understanding the basics of table querying for use in documenting data requirements
  • Strong knowledge of project planning and execution
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills

Responsibilities

  • Work with the business to understand reporting and data use cases, expectations and timelines.
  • Translate business and functional requirements to create user stories.
  • Present user stories to development team during refinement.
  • Gather understanding and requirements by utilizing a user centric approach by conducting interviews and workshops with business stakeholders and users.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing including the creation of user acceptance test cases and conducting sessions with business users.
  • Assist in designing data warehouse schemas and tables.
  • Document/communicate Root Cause Analysis on system issues.
