About The Position

Highly responsible business systems analyst works as an integral member of the Innovation Team. Responsible for advancing innovation, operational efficiency, and security resilience across the county through AI-supported application development. Modern work practices and proactive technology evaluation. Performs all activities related to deployment of AI and innovative technology products from initial concept to implementation into production operations. Attend all project meetings, demonstrations, and workshops related to the Innovation Hub projects. Key deliverables are to help the county deliver better services, improve productivity, reduce risk, and responsibly adopt emerging technologies. Assists in the mentoring of junior level BSA personnel and technical engineers in the processes and procedures necessary to deliver quality products on time and within budget. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of ITIL processes of change management, risk management, SLA's are required.
  • Knowledge of project management, various AI platforms and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of data visualization platforms, SQL, Power BI, M365 and cost-benefit analysis tools to build business cases.
  • Ability to read and interpret ordinances, regulations, grants, and legislation as it pertains to applications and systems.
  • Ability to document, plan, develop, procure, implement, apply, and maintain new information management systems according to business policies and practices.
  • Ability to budget, monitor, and acquire according to fiscal policy.
  • This role works closely with product management, application development, and departments along with IT leadership to turn creative ideas into actionable projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written, and visual communication.
  • Requires excellent communication skills and possess the ability to multitask and forecast resource needs.
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Follows Information Technology best practices when introducing new products into the organization including Risk Management, Change Management, Governance, policies and procedures.
  • Serves as the customer service liaison with the Information Technology (IT) Department and other County departments and outside agencies regarding procurement, implementation, and maintenance of AI related and innovative technology information management systems.
  • Performs project and technology evaluations, helps to develop solutions using our approved AI solutions and agents, works closely with the overall Innovation Hub team to conduct technology pilots, proof-of-concepts, and training on the technologies.
  • Coordinates project meetings, demonstrations, and workshops related to projects.
  • Participates in the analysis, fact gathering, configuration, implementation, and testing of AI software.
  • Participates in the development of training materials and assists in conducting training and workshops.
  • Documents problems and resolutions for future reference and work with various vendors and in-house staff as required providing acceptable solutions to business needs or problems.
  • Assists with investigating, recommending, installing, and documenting new applications to deploy to production.
  • Gathers and documents department and user requirements for business use cases, analyze requirements, and offer solutions to identified gaps.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously and serves as key player on modules of small to medium projects.
  • Performs analytical work and prepare new business practices, policies, procedures, and guidelines in support of various project functions, duties, and subsequent other software applications across various departments and divisions.
