About The Position

Vero Orthopaedics is seeking a highly capable, business-minded leader to manage strategic projects and enterprise initiatives that impact growth, physician alignment, financial performance, and organizational effectiveness. This is not a purely administrative role. The Business Strategy Manager will be expected to think strategically, operate with urgency, analyze business and financial data, and lead implementation across departments in a way that produces measurable results. The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare professional who is equally comfortable building a business case, facilitating an executive meeting, challenging assumptions, coordinating implementation, and holding teams accountable to deadlines and deliverables. This individual must be credible with physicians and leaders, organized enough to manage multiple initiatives at once, and strong enough to drive progress in a complex, fast-moving environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare administration, medical group leadership, strategic project management, consulting, finance, or practice management.
  • Experience in a physician practice, musculoskeletal or specialty group, ambulatory surgery environment, or multi-site healthcare setting strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives that involved implementation, change management, process redesign, or business improvement.
  • Experience working directly with senior leaders and physicians, with the professional maturity to influence without losing traction.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; able to build clear analytical and executive-ready materials.
  • Experience with dashboards, reporting tools, and data tracking; comfort working with practice management, EHR, revenue cycle, and financial systems.
  • Ability to learn internal systems quickly and use data to support implementation, monitoring, and decision-making.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Lead practice-wide initiatives from concept development through execution, stabilization, and post-implementation review.
  • Build detailed project plans, implementation roadmaps, communication plans, and decision frameworks for executive review.
  • Coordinate initiatives involving physicians, clinical leaders, revenue cycle, finance, front office, ancillary services, information systems, and vendor partners.
  • Identify risks, barriers, competing priorities, and dependencies early; develop practical solutions and escalate appropriately.
  • Support business planning, pro forma development, ROI analysis, and financial modeling for new programs, service lines, staffing models, and capital or technology initiatives.
  • Analyze practice performance data and identify opportunities related to revenue capture, expense management, workflow redesign, provider productivity, and service line performance.
  • Partner with leadership on initiatives involving revenue cycle, accounts payable, vendor performance, purchasing discipline, and financial process improvement.
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and executive summaries that convert data into decisions.
  • Run project governance with disciplined follow-up, meeting structure, issue logs, deliverable tracking, and executive reporting.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable for commitments, due dates, and implementation steps in a professional but firm manner.
  • Ensure new processes, tools, and workflows are effectively implemented, documented, and adopted across the organization.
  • Maintain visibility over multiple concurrent initiatives without losing momentum, detail, or strategic alignment.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to executive leadership by helping shape priorities, prepare recommendations, and move decisions into action.
  • Support physician-facing initiatives by organizing data, facilitating alignment, and translating ideas into actionable business plans.
  • Prepare high-quality materials for leadership meetings, strategic discussions, board presentations, and business reviews.
