Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience required; 10+ years preferred within a credit union or financial institution environment
  • Strong expertise in credit union lending and deposit products, pricing structures, profitability drivers, and regulatory considerations
  • Demonstrated experience in: Product strategy and financial modeling
  • Demonstrated experience in: Pricing and profitability analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in: Competitive market intelligence
  • Demonstrated experience in: Member segmentation and cohort analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in: Strategic planning and executive-level reporting
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business and financial data
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with experience influencing senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance analytical rigor, operational realities, and member-focused outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the credit union’s product portfolio to assess competitive positioning, market demand, and member needs
  • Support product development, enhancement, and retirement decisions through strategic analysis
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen product relevance and member engagement
  • Evaluate product-level profitability across lending, deposit, and ancillary products
  • Model pricing scenarios and assess the financial impact of product structure or rate changes
  • Provide strategic recommendations that balance profitability with member value
  • Analyze how product features, pricing, and terms translate into meaningful member benefits
  • Ensure strategic decisions align with both financial performance goals and member-centric objectives
  • Monitor competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and financial services trends
  • Research market shifts, regulatory developments, and evolving member behaviors
  • Deliver actionable insights to support strategic planning and product innovation
  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on product and business strategy
  • Collaborate across lending, operations, marketing, finance, technology, and analytics teams
  • Act as a liaison between Business Intelligence/Data Analytics and business units to support informed decision-making
  • Develop frameworks and reporting tools to monitor product performance metrics including volume, margin, adoption, and portfolio mix
  • Conduct advanced analyses to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Prepare executive-ready reports, presentations, and strategic business cases
