About The Position

The Business Solutions Strategist, whose business title is Business Solutions Architect, is an individual contributor on the Transformation team reporting to the SVP, Transformation. The role drives high-priority strategic and operational initiatives across Progress Residential’s operating platform, from defining problems through implementation and measuring results. It works directly with functional leaders and executive leadership on AI deployment, operating-model redesign, and scaling the company’s centralized platform across a national portfolio. This is a strategy-through-execution role with ownership of outcomes. The strategist structures ambiguous problems, develops the case for change, and leads cross-functional delivery. The position is based in Tempe, Arizona; candidates outside the area may be considered if they are willing to relocate to Tempe within a mutually agreed-upon timeframe.

  • MBA or comparable analytical training.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of strategy work that was implemented, with measurable results.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including the ability to build and pressure-test a defensible business case.

  • Exceptional structured communication skills, including executive presentations, concise writing, and sound judgment about what matters.
  • Disciplined program communication, including regular stakeholder updates and early escalation of risks and blockers.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and pace, with a bias toward ownership and outcomes over process.

  • Develop executive-ready materials and communicate complex analysis clearly to senior and executive leadership.
  • Lead the design and rollout of AI-enabled workflows across operations, including customer journeys, maintenance, and revenue functions, in partnership with data science and platform teams.
  • Map current-state processes and design future-state workflows, identify automation opportunities, and define target operating models, including roles, workflows, decision rights, and performance measurement.
  • Work with internal platform and engineering teams and external vendors to translate business requirements into implemented solutions and ensure delivery meets specifications.
  • Define initiative success metrics, establish baselines and controls, and report measured results.
  • Drive cross-functional implementation by coordinating workplans, owners, dates, and blocker escalation across operations, technology, data science, and market teams.
  • Drive adoption and change management with field and functional teams, anticipating resistance and designing for it.
  • Partner with customer operations, maintenance, revenue, and supply-chain leaders to shape initiatives, secure buy-in, and embed change.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior operators and influence across the organization without direct authority.
  • Maintain a regular stakeholder reporting cadence and surface risks and blockers early.
