About The Position

The Business Solutions Account Executive drives revenue growth by identifying, developing, and managing relationships with small, medium, enterprise, carrier, and government business customers throughout PVT’s service areas. This role serves as a consultative sales professional focused on delivering advanced telecommunications and technology solutions that improve connectivity, productivity, security, reliability, and business continuity for customers. The Business Solutions Account Executive sells and supports a portfolio of telecommunications and technology solutions including fiber broadband, dedicated Internet access, managed Wi-Fi, hosted voice and PBX systems, SIP services, cybersecurity solutions, video surveillance systems, Ethernet transport, fiber transport, smart business technologies, managed network services, business continuity solutions, and custom-engineered connectivity solutions. This position is also responsible for establishing, refining, and maintaining the full business sales lifecycle, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, proposal development, order acquisition, service turn-up coordination, account management, and long-term customer relationship development. The position plays a critical role in building repeatable sales processes, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and retention.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies including fiber broadband, voice services, managed Wi-Fi, networking, cybersecurity, transport services, surveillance systems, and business connectivity solutions.
  • Ability to develop customized telecommunications and technology solutions based on customer operational requirements.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and accounts simultaneously.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce to manage pipeline activity, customer relationships, and forecasting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and effectively coordinate customer projects from sale through activation.
  • Strong personal accountability, initiative, professionalism, and follow-through.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three to five years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in telecommunications, technology solutions, managed services, or related industries.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be insurable under the Company’s insurance policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sales, or related field preferred.
  • Experience managing the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through installation and long-term account management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business customers through prospecting, networking, referrals, cold outreach, strategic relationship development, and community engagement.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to identify customer operational challenges and develop technology solutions tailored to customer needs and business objectives.
  • Sell and support a portfolio of telecommunications and technology solutions including: Fiber broadband and dedicated Internet, Managed Wi-Fi solutions, Hosted voice and PBX systems, SIP trunking and voice services, Cybersecurity solutions, Surveillance systems, Ethernet transport and fiber transport services, Managed network and connectivity solutions, Smart business technologies, Business continuity and redundancy solutions, Custom-engineered telecommunications solutions.
  • Conduct needs assessments, site visits, and solution discovery meetings to determine customer requirements and opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver professional proposals, quotes, presentations, and solution recommendations.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals as established by management.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, renewals, and long-term account growth.
  • Build, document, and maintain structured lead-generation and prospecting processes.
  • Develop and continuously improve workflows for identifying leads, qualifying opportunities, obtaining orders, coordinating installations, activating services, and managing customer relationships.
  • Assist in developing standardized sales procedures, customer onboarding processes, and account management best practices.
  • Work closely with Marketing to align campaigns, outreach strategies, lead development, and customer engagement activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of opportunities, pipeline activity, customer interactions, forecasting, and account records within Salesforce or designated CRM platforms.
  • Serve as the strategic relationship owner for assigned business accounts throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain superior customer service standards with a strong emphasis on responsiveness, professionalism, and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct periodic account reviews to ensure customer needs are being met and to identify additional service opportunities.
  • Manage customer expectations during the order, construction, installation, turn-up, and support processes.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure successful delivery of services and rapid resolution of customer issues.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, usage trends, and service adoption to improve retention and reduce churn.
  • Work closely with Construction, Outside Plant, Network Engineering, IT/Technical Operations, Billing, Customer Service, and Marketing teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborate with technical personnel to develop and deliver customized business solutions.
  • Provide customer feedback and market intelligence to leadership and product development teams to support future service offerings and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain visibility within the local business community through networking, events, trade organizations, and community involvement.
  • Represent PVT with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first mindset in all interactions.
  • Promote and strengthen the reputation, mission, and values of PVT and its subsidiaries within the marketplace.
