About The Position

Ohio Gratings is transforming steel-grating manufacturing through data-driven products, improved business systems, and streamlined operations. We seek a Business Solutions Analyst who can work with departments to understand business needs, document processes, identify practical improvement opportunities, and help move ideas from concept to implementation. This role serves as a bridge between business users, implementation leadership, and technical development teams, using AI and automation tools where appropriate to prototype, validate, and support better ways of working. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations, Technology, or related field - OR - equivalent hands-on experience related to these fields.
  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis, systems implementation, process improvement, project coordination, or a similar role.
  • Proven ability to document workflows, requirements, SOPs, user stories, and business rules in a clear and organized manner.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, AI tools, and business applications to support daily work.
  • Ability to translate vague business problems into actionable requirements and explain solutions in plain English to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organization, follow-up, communication, and meeting facilitation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP, CRM, workflow, reporting, or enterprise business systems.
  • Experience using AI or automation tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile methods, project management tools, user acceptance testing, or change-management practices.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, estimating, finance, supply chain, customer service, or shared services environments.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with department leaders and end users to understand current workflows, pain points, manual tasks, and business needs.
  • Document current-state and future-state processes, requirements, SOPs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through better systems, automation, reporting, AI tools, or workflow changes.
  • Build lightweight prototypes, mockups, prompt examples, or low-code/no-code concepts to validate ideas before full development.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, business rules, sample outputs, test scenarios, and known limitations.
  • Work with developers, vendors, and system owners to clarify requirements and confirm the final solution matches the business need.
  • Support user acceptance testing, rollout planning, training materials, quick-reference guides, and post-launch feedback.
  • Help users adopt new tools and identify additional improvements after implementation.
